And he delivered for 2 years, it's when he had to put his nose the the grindstone and keep it going that he failed.

I maintain the reason Fuente failed was the Galen Scott fiasco, it was clear that Scott was the foundation and the guy who was the rock for Fuente. Once he was gone it was Fu and a bunch of "yes" men offensive guys. We didn't view it as a big deal because the defensive staff was all Foster, but once he retired and Wiles was pushed out the entire staff was underqualified because Fuente had no defensive coaching tree.
