Oh, geez, thank goodness your kids were safe. From someone living in


Blacksburg in 2007, I know how you feel. I know that look on people's faces, how everyone walks around looking almost zombie like for a while. My daughter wasn't at Tech yet, but knew one of the victims, and we knew kids who were on campus at the time. It was all scary as hell.

Get your kids some counseling. It helps. It certainly doesn't hurt, and there's no shame in asking for help from someone.

It has really been a sad, sad time for quite a while. All you can ask is "what the hell is wrong with people."

Thinking of you and your family. Hang in there.
