Although the country currently has a curfew in place at night, so the trip may not be as much fun as people originally though. The big unknown though is will the people affiliated with the bowl game be able to return to the US when it is time to come home?

My stepmother recently visited Germany for 2 weeks. She said it took her almost 23 hours before she landed at the Weyers Cave Airport because of all the safety protocols the US and other countries have put into place for people flying into a country even if they are fully vaccinated. She had a layover in The Netherlands and another one at O'Hare. She said at all 3 airports she had to go through multiple checkpoints and show proof that she test negative before she could proceed to the next checkpoint. Fortunately, she did a rapid test at the German airport the day of her return flight and the other airports were willing to accept those results.

The point of my stepmother's adventure is to show that the US could change its travel policy while people affiliated with the bowl game are in The Bahamas. If that happens, then it is possible that some or all of the people looking to return to the US after the bowl game may find themselves stuck in The Bahamas until the US lifts the travel restrictions or grants a waiver to those people.
