Not a Clawson fan (after the water bottle stuff) but he's right. The game


is already skewed towards offensive players and QBs in particular. QBs get protection when they slide so it's unfair to force a defender in a split second to decide whether the QB is really sliding or only pretending. I expect we'll see a rule put in to make it either a dead ball or penalty.

I actually thought Narduzzi's response was worse. "There's a thing called a whistle". The problem is you can hit the QB before the whistle blows and if he's sliding it's still a penalty. He basically acted like it wasn't remotely unfair and yet we know if Wake's QB had done it he would have blown a gasket on the sidelines.
