and a pretty good health care system in Ballad. Tons of hiking trails both flat and mountainous, bike trails, ATV trails all within 45 - 60 min drive. South Holston or Boone Lakes for fishing/water sports. The music scene could be better but the annual Rhythm and Roots festival in Bristol is awesome if you like country and bluegrass. Tennessee has no income tax but a 9.5% sales tax. Although, in Bristol TN it's a short drive to the Virginia side for 5.5%. We have 4 legit seasons here but the winter is rarely bad bad. Gorgeous fall colors and only about a 2 hour drive to the 'Burg.
