Asheville is definitely on the list for both Mrs Fooz and me.

Savannah would be, we’ve been there dozens of times (our youngest went to SCAD) and we enjoy the city but I think it is certifiably walk-around-naked hot in the summer…but who knows about that. The city is pretty high on Mrs Fooz’s list

Davidson…hadn’t thought about that, but it’s certainly appealing. We considered it when I had a job offer in Charlotte after getting my masters. I’ll have to look into that again.

Athens…you’d think after living north of Atlanta for 20 years that I’d know more about the town, but I don’t. I’ll have to check it out.

Cali is appealing to me (our oldest lives in LA) but it’s expensive. I really like some of the towns on the PCH (San Clemente, Dana Pointe, Luguna Beach) but that might not work for us.

I love Flagstaff. I drove across country a few years ago and thought is was a true oasis in the desert, so I’ll need to look into that again.

A few on my list that I didn’t see mentioned and I’m curious about the board view are Annapolis MD and Vancouver Washington. Any thoughts on those?

Anyway thanks to all who replied, I’ve written them all down and will look into them.
