Am I the only one who thinks “extra practice from a bowl” is the most over


blown thing in college football?

How the hell do practices in December carry over in any way shape or form to months in the future? Whether spring game or next fall? There’s just way too much time in between, plus, a lot of turnover of players means there’s basically at least a partial new team anyway (the transfer portal probably reduces the effectiveness of extra practice since team roster rotates more than in past) and in our case a turnover to coaches who may install an entirely different philosophy anyway.

New coaches might be deprogramming any remaining players after that mess today.

I’d like to see historical statistics for subsequent season’s records for teams who got extra prowl practice vs those who didn’t.
