I have some questions about all these NIL deals

Is their an expectation or rule that states a player has to appear in a commercial of some sort to be paid?

The school cannot pay but can they facilitate an agreement with another interested party?

Are NIL deals just a front for rich fans or boosters of a school to pay players? Are these NIL deals really going to result in commercials and endorsements or just paid players?
