but it doesn't seem to stop you. As far as efficiency goes, yeah, VT is ahead of last year. Ken Pom has us as the #29 team in the country!!! Do you honestly believe that? No, it's because we absolutely feasted both offensively and defensively against the bad teams on our schedule.

But guess what, we can't beat even mediocre teams at this point as long as they pressure us defensively. We have 1 win in our last 7 games against teams with a pulse that pressured us. So the season stats don't tell the whole story. Not at all.

We are losing because of several things:
1) sure we need to hit open shots, which we are getting
2) we can't get buckets when we need to by dribble drive
3) we can't make teams pay for extending their defense full court because of 2)
4) we can't lock down defensively when we need to

2) - 4) are a result of not having Bede and Radford on the floor. You cannot honestly sit there and keep saying how not having a player who can dribble drive, not having a player who can guard the ball without tons of help, and not having a stronger PG with the ball isn't hurting this team massively. Well, maybe you can because you seem to have a massive unrealistic streak in your personality. But it won't be true. It wasn't true in the preseason and it's not true now.
