I know BMW has moved to an alternate chip supplier, but


...don't think that's an immediate solution. Believe they're sourcing them in Germany.

Toyota found chips somewhere...no idea who is supplying them? Maybe they paid a huge ransom to Taiwan to get the first ones off the assembly line?

Chip manufacturing is a high tech industry, so why not set up shop in the US to make them? It's not like labor will be more expensive, since it isn't a labor intensive industry.
