What's the downside/risk of the colonoscopy, though?

In my mind, the the prep is akin to feeling lousy the day after a shot, but I'm talking about potential long-term issues caused by a colonoscopy. Issues resulting from colonoscopies are super rare, and while you may say the same about issues from the COVID vaccines, I would argue that serious colonoscopy complications are MUCH more rare than the vaccine adverse reactions, and are also rarely fatal or debilitating. Obviously any medical procedure has a risk, but there is a long-standing history of safety with colonoscopies. There is still a lot that is unknown about these COVID vaccines, and some physicians have voiced serious concerns about the spike protein itself being cytotoxic, as Edge referenced. We just don't know what long-term effects may arise from training the human body to continually produce this protein. As far as I'm concerned, the short-term results are concerning, particularly regarding potential cardiac issues. My own wife seems to have had some short-term (hopefully) heart issues after her first Moderna dose. So I am extremely concerned about how this plays out in the years to come.
