There's really no good explanation other than that


Mike Young overvalues shooters. Bamisile should have been getting Cone's minutes last year (especially when Cone tanked). Instead, he kept Cone on the floor even though he was hurting us on both ends. Whatever weaknesses Bamisile had, he could overcome them with athleticism. While if Cone wasn't burying 3ptrs, he was a disaster on the floor.

As you point out, at Maddox demonstrating competence on both ends now, it's an utter mystery why he can't get any of Alleyne's minutes.

The only possible explanation is that Young is just hoping against all hope that Alleyne will "come out of it" if he just let's him stay out there.

It's sad to see because hope is usually a poor strategy, especially if you have any options. And we have had options both last year and this year, even though they were few.
