the same people who have an issue with the fact that 1 percent of the population has 40% of the wealth. That almost 90% is owned by the top 20%. Or that increases in wealth and income are overwhelmingly going to people at the top instead of people at the bottom. So they don't really mind some tax money being spent on tests in a pandemic. You can disagree with whether or not they have a point and whether we should care about inequality. But it's not that they're ignorant of how taxes and spending work.
