I had a Scirocco with said snapping accelerator cable phenomenon

Was once going to the Eastern Shore for a weekend of chilling at the beach and got stuck behind a wrecked chemical truck in Easton. A huge storm came and swamped us, and after an hour of sitting still, I put my foot on the accelerator to finally move as traffic was being routed around the hazard.........and the cable pulled out from the accelerator pedal. So it's a huge dowpour, and my ass and everything below it is hanging out the driver's side while I get that cable reattached with wire and electric tape. Meanwhile, people are honking and cursing me.

BTW, Scirocco is the Arabic word for piece of shiRt.
