SIR: I have seen zero discussion about the “ so far” (5days) successful pig

heart transplant utilizing a genetically modified pig heart into a man in Murland. Heart was produced by a company in the VT research park utilizing a genetically Modified pig raised under sterile conditions ( how is THAT possible?) and transplanted into a dying man who did not qualify for a human heart because of medical non-compliance. I’ve read interesting articles about the “ ethics” of choosing who does and does not qualify, in addition to ethics of using animals ( uh, Americans eat a LOT of bacon). Amazing research ( they are also working on kidneys I understand) right here at VT. Makes me proud!
