Like you we follow pretty closely and "know" the personalities involved. Robie and the team would not dodge NC State as a ploy - too important for too many reasons. And if it were a weight management issue at several weights which I just do not think is even plausible. I mean of all the duals several guys do not make weight for this one? And even if that did happen canceling a dual for something like this when you have plenty of back-ups to wrestle (even if it means a sure loss) is the only solution -- anything else would certainly end someone's job. I just can't fathom any other nefarious reasons.

COVID seems the only plausible explanation. What WORRIES me a bit is that like you mention it has been quiet and has not been disclosed openly, which tells me someone is not allowing the information to be released to the public. Until VT Wrestling/VTAD tweets or publishes something or I see the guys take the mat Friday....I will start to worry that someone got a bad case of COVID and is struggling medically (many, but not all cases are mild) or there is some significant event (i.e., injury, personal tragedy or administrative) that happened and has not resolved itself. Then again, maybe VT Wrest/VTAD just doesn't think it is necessary in this case to go into detail and there is nothing more to it and we are just over analyzing.

Either way, I just want some reassurance the Grapplers, coaches and families are OK.
