The hospital I work in is bursting at the seams.

Patients who have been admitted are having to stay in the emergency room up to 36 hours just waiting for an available inpatient bed. We opened up an old unused unit and started moving less critical adult patients into the children's hospital next door just to make more space. But that spreads staff out so now every unit is pretty much running on a skeleton crew.

Ironically only 20-25 of the nearly 600 patients are covid positive, and only 15 or so there due to their covid symptoms.
