The way I look at it is as roster management part of coaching.

Trying to keep the roster supplied with players who are ready to play and if you lose one you need to replace one. So far,

Nolley was replaced with Mutts
Cone was replaced with ?
Bamisile was replaced with ?
Radford was replaced with ?

These are all players that need to be in the system now ready to go, and with exception of Nolley are just pure unfilled attrition. So you don’t have depth. Radford was not Mike Young’s fault but he needs to backfill for him in the next portal recruiting cycle with a player who is ready to play, not “be developed”. Cone and Bam should have already been filled with a player ready to play. So, as I see it, now we are -3 effectively on roster management under Mike Young. That’s why I cringe when I see good players on the bench who aren’t getting minutes. We can’t fill a roster effectively through a revolving door of recruits who never see much PT.
