Vegas - Herbs and Rye, Zion - at least 1 day go to the non shuttle


side of the tunnel and hike. On the shuttle side (the more famous hikes) there will be hundreds of others on every trail. On the other side, you can hike all day and not see anyone. There was a fun hike near checkerboard that went between two mesas and then climbed up and dropped down on the other side. It was my favorite of the 3 days that we were there.
