When things get weird, are they like dead celebs - do they come in threes?
If so, we're waiting on the third one.
The first:
We have two Spectrum cables boxes. The other night an error message popped up on our living room tv screen that we were having an "IA01" Internet Access error situation. All there was was the error. It was even blinking IA01 on the cable box LED lights. Rebooting the cable box or unplug/plug voodoo were not remedies. Called Spectrum and a recorded message said our area was having this problemo and they knew about it and were hustling to fix it. So we went upstairs and the master bedroom tv with it's own cable box (identical to the other one) was working just fine.
The second:
Checked our IRS refund and they're going to send us about $3000 less than we're owed due to this cryptic message:
"We changed the amount claimed as Recovery Rebate Credit on your (2020) tax return. The error was in one or more of the following:
• The Social Security number of one or more individuals claimed as a qualifying dependent was missing or incomplete.
• The last name of one or more individuals claimed as a qualifying dependent does not match our records.
• One or more individuals claimed as a qualifying dependent exceeds the age limit.
• Your adjusted gross income exceeds $75,000 ($150,000 if married filing jointly, $112,500 if head of household).
• The amount was computed incorrectly."
Needless to say, we have no dependents, never have had any, never filed as though we did. None of the above are true. And we were audited for the years in which this applies (2020) and there was never any mention of a Recovery Rebate Credit to either claim or not claim.
So, what's going to be #3?
