Not questioning the CFP payout pool.

That's easily referenced at the official CFP website. What isn't clear is the payout for the ACC when the the Orange is CFP as well as the payouts for the Sugar and Rose when they aren't CFP

There are lots of details missing from that conversation like how that money is distributed (how much goes to the bowl committee for example), what the payment includes and doesn't include (is it a post expense distribution), etc...

As someone stated below, the ACC's distributions are typically post expense distributions and as far as I know it's the only conference that does it that way. So again, it's tough to compare apples to apples.

I've seen vague references to the $40 million you keep citing but it's all from 2012 and it's always an unnamed source. For example: Brett McMurphy citing "sources" that "expect" ESPN to pay $80 million for both the Rose and Sugar Bowls. Do you have anything newer, anything that's not an unnamed source? I couldn't find it.

End of the day, people are constantly predicting doom and poverty for the ACC. But every year when the official financials and tax returns get released the ACC manages to gain a little more relative to its peers. It also seems to me that the ACC is much more transparent than its peers when it comes to finances. If so, why do you think that is?
