Big ten needed northeast bad to make big ten network go


He gave to struggling under financed programs a chance

He had venue (i.e. Rutgers ) to engage with media in New York

He responded to travel issues from penn State

Got into D.C. Market an engaging more formally with armoir all

However he knew particularly Rutgers was a reach --it was his personal relationship with the ex ad at Rutgers that sold him over others- Also uconn really didn't have the academic portfolio and was a little far from penn state

Now acc has a good insert into northeast - however they are managing it from afar in Greensboro - they really neeed to establish a second office in the city to engage media- advertising agencies and corporations - they just haven't gotten their yet
