She was irate because the coach who cut her two sisters did it, IMO


I think there are different ethics and expectations in a sports high-five line than there are in the general public. I mean, you don't play grab-ass, but I've seen plenty of shoulder-pats in high-five lines.

She wanted to ignore/spite him, and he forced the issue -- and he shouldn't have. I can see there being a perception of a male/female power move involved in that too, but I think the context was more coach-athlete than male-female. And I think the player would have reacted the same way if the coach who cut her sisters and then tapped her shoulder was a female.

I'm not saying guys should/could touch people without consent. Just that I don't think it's a part of this specific incident -- I think him being the coach and sinking to this level of immaturity is the bigger issue. He knows she's the sister of two players he cut, he knows there's going to be bad blood, and he purposefully chose to tweak her and twist the knife.
