I'm one of those who think that Coach Thomas is on a longer

leash than Mason. And that is as much for his longevity, as it is for his recent results. Whit Babcock has so far shown himself to be very fair on firing anyone. The LAX coach was actually given a job in administration, rather than being unceremoniously dumped. I think Whit's reputation within the coaching world will be a big recruiting advantage moving forward. He is not going to do anything that people could later say, "VT didn't give so and so a chance". I just don't think he will do it.
I kinda agree with OP, that Coach Thomas will get about two more years. Now, the baseball coach on the other hand, is on some majorly thin ice.
