Pac 12 getting ready for T1 Negotiations? I think so.


News out of the Pac 12....

College Hotline: On Pac12Nets president Lydia Murphy-Stephans stepping down and what’s next for the networks

"It was suggested to me that Murphy-Stephans’ departure could be a signal of massive change, that Scott and the chancellors/presidents have decided to sell an equity stake as a way to slow expansion of the revenue gap between the Pac12Nets and their counterparts at the Big Ten and SEC."

IMO, this is a start to the process for the Pac 12 to get ready for T1 Negotiations.

What will be VERY interesting in the coming years is if we hear rumors of a merger between the B1G, Pac 12 and the Big 12 and BTN buys the Pac 12 Network and all games are hosted on FOX and the new national college conference network. That would put "BTN" into California, Seattle, Texas, Arizona, Denver, etc. Another area for potential rumors is the Pac 12 exploring their options to expand with Big 12 properties - Tech, Iowa State, etc, IMO.
