Wow, very possible that your dad and my grandfather knew each other..


my grandfather was with the 101st as a communications specialist also and was in those same battles. He also talked of the great wine/champaigne at the Eagles Nest, just like your frather

My grandfather passed in 2005 and I guess there is no way of knowing if they knew each other. But it sounds like it was very possible.

Condolences on your loss. Remember him well.
