We are eventually going to get a Travel Trailer.


When we do I'll need a tow vehicle. Wife wants to buy the tow vehicle now and then just buy the trailer later. I see buying a $40k SUV now as pushing the purchase of a trailer out several years. By the time I could afford the trailer I'll have worn out the SUV and have to buy another one.

For the Pilot to be functional we'd need the captains chairs in the middle. Those are a little harder to find than the bench seat. Also car seats have gotten ginormous and you have to keep your kids in one until they're in their mid-30s now. 3 kids across the back requires a special vehicle and likely all new car seats. If in the market for a vehicle it's just better to get that 3rd row but only if it's easily accessed.
