Something fishy is going on with Verizon


We've had our plan for a while now. I have a work phone, but still maintain my own personal line. I use no data. She has her phone and uses data but at home and work, she's on wifi 100%. We are on a 2gb data plan and have never gone over. We usually have leftover data that rolls over.

3 months ago, her phone started using about 100mb of data between the hours of 3am and 6am on an almost daily basis. She's not awake at that time and the phone should still be on wifi even if it is use. We hit our limit of data this month after purchasing another GB and we've now his that one. We never had this issue before and Verizon isn't saying what they think the problem is. Verizon had her reset her phone's data stats(iphone) and owes her a call next week to see if they can see what programs are using the most data.

She thinks it's their ploy to get us on an unlimited data plan in that they're upping data usage(somehow) to encourage people to go unlimited.

Anyone else had this problem? This is making me want to switch to AT&T, Sprint, or T-mobile at this point.
