Last week, did same to parents' house of 40 years

Got rid of boxes & clothes, cleaned the attic & basement, and the garage.

They're in no rush to leave -- could be 5 years, could be 15 years.

But why not be proactive, and clean & down-size when everybody is healthy & able (and has a free weekend).
