Like someone else alluded to earlier, most people have no clue who

these people are.

The ones who DO know who they are in two camps.

One group, are most likely the "white nationalists" and people who think the confederacy is still important. They study the stuff and can probably blurt out a whole list of facts they put into memory because they are fanatical about it.

The other group read about Lee and other confederates on their iPhones on the way to the protest, or just nod in agreement as someone else tells them what they read. then they try to repeat the same info to others, with absolute certainty.

Of course, there are also history buffs out there on both sides, but they aren't the ones the media care to portray widely.

Me? I have no clue. I didn't really pay attention in History class and that was a long time ago.
