Is it focused on Lee directly or focused (at least for now)

on statues of soldiers (maybe high ranking officers) wearing their confederate uniform who may happen to be Lee? I ask become I am reminded of what happened down in Nawlins and the controversy that was generated from it. I don't think any of those statues were of Lee. As far as VA is concerned, I suspect Lee is probably the most memorialized Confederate figure in the state. So for people in VA to target Jefferson Davis, P. G. T. Beauregard, Samuel Cooper, Joseph E. Johnston, James Longstreet, Braxton Bragg, or John Bell Hood, then it may not help them to accomplish their objectives.

Personally, I do believe a compromise can be achieved that preserves the history while coming across as not glorifying/honoring (not sure what the right word is here) the Confederate Army or its prominent figures. I am not sure what that compromise would look like since an artist could design something intended to have a neutral message and yet people can interpret it 6 million different ways until sundown.
