Just so you know...

...a Chromebook is less a real computer and more an internet access point. All of the heavy lifting happens in the cloud and files are stored on the cloud. Instead of having a program called Microsoft Office installed on the machine, you work in a browser window that has all the functionality of Microsoft office. I used the Google suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets), but you can get good ole fashioned Microsoft (Word, Powerpoint, Xcel) if you want it (they convert easily in either direction). Still, it doesn't really feel any different and I've yet to come across a single thing that I needed to do but couldn't because I was on a chromebook.
