I use Directv Now

Affordable and works great. It's less than a year old so they are still growing and at times there are growing pains.

There are local channels, but not in every location. They are adding more locals weekly. I live in the Louisville, KY area and right now I get Fox and ABC local channels on DTVN. You could also get your locals OTA.

Currently there's no DVR, but it is in beta. 4k streaming is also in beta. They only allow 2 simultaneous streams, but they may expand that at a later date.

The only equipment you will need are Apple TV (4th gen) or some Roku models or Amazon Fire Stick and a few others. I suggest using the Apple TV. It just seems to be faster and better picture.

I've been using DTVN since they launched at the end of 2016. I do not miss cable or satellite.
