I've had three sets..

When I had a cedar roof, I got Gutter Helmet as I was told even by Gutter Helmet's competition that gutter helmet was the only brand that would fit on a cedar shake roof. They worked great, but were expensive.. Then I replaced that roof with a lifetime dimensional shingle roof, and the gutter helmets could not be re-used on the the new roof. So I went with a screen-type product (forget the name) that was cheaper than Gutter Helmet, but would always get clogged with pine tabs and leaves. Even though the installer had warranteed them to not clog and came out several times to clean them out, as soon as he would leave, within weeks they would be clogged again. Next I went to Costco and got the Leaf Guard integrated cover and gutter, with oversized downspouts. These work great. In my opinion, any kind of screen product will eventually get clogged and have to be cleaned, which defeats the whole purpose. The cover-style work much better.
