Third party sellers?

Goods from Amazon directly have been on time for me, like EVERY time. I have seen some stuff from some of the third party marketplace folks come slower. My assumption is that with the third party sellers, you're bound by that seller's local business hours and practices. If that business closes at 5:00 Friday afternoon and has their UPS picked up at 4:00...orders placed after about lunch time on Friday wont ship until Monday, regardless of what Amazon wants. Adding to the frustration is that I think sometimes the Amazon system "forgets" to account for this issue.
