I always find these "what really happened" discussions amusing


Nothing really happened once the camera went off.

The show was the show. What we saw was ALL of it.

Even if Chase were to tell us exactly what he intended us to think happened, or what he "though" happened, it still means absolutely nothing.

We saw the show in its entirety, every episode. There can never be an answer to what really happened, barring a sequel or movie being produced, because the show is a self contained universe. Chase showed us 100% of what he showed us and nothing outside that 100% means anything.
