Estate taxes don't make sense, but what's wrong with capital gains?


It's earned income on capital, and it is at a much lower rate than income.

I'm not just full of it, with no skin in the game. I've got multiple six figures in taxable accounts. I'm fine with paying 15% on gains. They should increase the amount that you can deduct for losses, but it seems fair to me.
