Mom's presence is key to a baby's healthy development.


Unfortunately, it's not financially possible for most moms now. Very tough situation to resolve because mandating paid leave would be financially crippling to many businesses, particularly small businesses.

I'd be in favor of unpaid leave of up to a year for moms. FMLA already grants 12 weeks leave to both parents.
