A million is more than enough, but it really depends on lifestyle


Let's assume some form of SS + Medicare (can't assume 100%, but safe to assume *something* will exist).

So in addition to your $1M, you've got the SS + Medicare.

$1M probably won't last forever in major metro area -- but if you're willing to re-locate (even overseas), you should be fine on $1M.

But I'll admit, easier said than done -- many people don't want to leave family, friends, hobbies, etc.
