Here are my issues

Yes, the climate is changing. Pretty much not debatable at this point.

Mankind may or may not be the single most influential factor in that. I do think that is debatable, but I also think it should be irrelevant to the discussion.

That leads me to two basic concepts:

#1 - What is the climate of the Earth "supposed" to be? At some point in the Earth's history, it has virtually been one big block of ice, one big jungle, and everything in between (and all of those changes happened long before the Industrial Revolution). Who gets to be the arbiter of the decision what the right climate is?

#2 - Even if we ever could answer #1, the solution should be scientific, and not political. Thus far, the reason climate change is being trumpeted as a problem is more to advance political initiatives than to actually solve the problem (e.g. even if the US cut their emissions to zero it wouldn't matter based on the growth rate of pollution in China and SE Asia). I heard some NASA scientists mention that if we really wanted to do something about the climate, they could solve the problem quite easily by putting several solar shades/reflectors in orbit. Want the planet warmer, reflect more sun onto it. Want it cooler, shade some sun away. Boom, problem solved for a few billion bucks instead of trillions and now we have a thermostat for the planet.
