When the breakers were changed to a higher rating, was the wire changed too

If not, wire could be overheating due to the current draw from the emergency heat and tripping the breaker.

Breakers and wire need to be sized to match each other. Big breaker for small wire and small breaker for big wire can both potentially be a problem.
