Generally at work, I'll give a company or vendor a big thank you

when they really bend over backwards to help me out. It's usually at terribly inopportune times like nights or weekends.

My biggest thank you to them comes when I keep buying parts worth thousands of dollars over and over and over again.

I ripped a vendor earlier this week, that waited 6 days to send me a quote on an item that I said was at emergency level. By the time I got the quote I'd already issued a PO, received the item, and installed it from a different vendor before that vendor had given me a quote. Not to mention his quote was $20k higher than the low one and his lead time was 10 weeks. I let him know what I thought of his service level.
