Really wish clients would call when they're going to do something out of

the ordinary.

Client bought a long-time employee a cruise and ran it through "Gifts" on their general ledger. That will give the IRS fits. Have to go back and amend payroll tax reports to make it taxable compensation to the employee. Would have been a lot easier if they'd called beforehand so I could have told them how to do it right in the first place. #TaxSeason
