I have a special situation. When I sold my business and retired

part of the deal was they agreed to pay for health insurance for my wife and me until we reach Medicare age, at which time they will pay for Medigap insurance (note that our firm paid 100% of the premiums for all employees, and 100% for family coverage if you were an associate or higher). That worked great for the first few years. Initially we did COBRA on our group policy until the time frame elapsed. Then we had an individual policy that pretty much mirrored our group plan. Once Obamacare hit my "Cadillac Plan" went away. We have now had 3 different policies in 4 years as they keep eliminating the plans we have had. I'm not happy with these plans and how much deductible and OOP costs we have (forced into an HMO this year for the first time) but IIWII.
