There's only so many times they can repeat the cycle of

1. Group is on the run and homeless
2. Group finds a "safe" place
3. "Safe" place isn't that safe because of other humans
4. "Safe" place becomes uninhabitable
5. Back to 1

That's why I was excited for Fear the Walking Dead because I thought it was going to delve more into the fall of society, the outbreak, etc. Instead it spent about 3 episodes on that and by the end of the season was exactly like The Walking Dead.
