Buddy of mine did that for a Porsche. Got a second job. I was impressed.


He was making around 125k at his day job but, like you, didn't want to go into debt for a car. He put himself through bartending school and did that for almost two years. He ended up pulling around $4k out of savings when he found "the one" and stopped bartending. Nevertheless I was really impressed with him for doing that instead of taking the easy way out.

This is the same guy who bought a pool table and a monster TV before he bought a bed for his new house because he knew that he'd never get around to buying those luxury items but he HAD to buy a bed.
