I'm no statistician, but this seems very difficult to quantify.


Strictly from a variables perspective, I think it would be hard to accurately determine this. First of all, I believe you'd need to know how many songs that particular radio has in its "catalogue". Then you'd have to calculate how many minutes per hour the station plays commercials vs. music.

But mathematically speaking, it seems like if you could determine those two things, you'd just need to multiply (1/(number of songs in catalogue)) x [(number of minutes of music played per hour)/60] x [1/86,400].

But, don't listen to me. I am an idiot.
