AAC neeeds to further improve its basketball product...


If UConn dominated their new conference in football and had an annual RPI of 50-65, football conference affiliation wouldn't be as big a deal if the ACC was to expand. UConn men's basketball would likely thrive in the Big East and get back to being a national power. IF UConn had a perennial top 20 men's basketball team, a #1 women's team, and a top 65 football program, that may be good enough to get accepted into the ACC since they qualify academically and add value being in the NYC media market. Plus UConn is competitive in several other sports. Like you said, UConn men's basketball could get better if the AAC improved its product.
