Yeah, the burnt out car or the shoes sticking from under the tarp


The worst was the flatbed tractor-trailer with the load of bricks that ran between the guardrail on NB 95 and hit the concrete bridge pier for 295. Must have hit the pier at full speed and split the cab. Or was it the tractor-trailer that hit the car in the middle of the Varina-Enon Bridge, sending it to the concrete rail where it burnt - guy was from South Hill. Or the two guys on a Sunday morning that hit the sign pole on 295 and car burnt - only thing left of tires was the steel belts. Fortunately, only had a half dozen or so fatal accidents involving structures. Do want to take a moment for a shout out to our Virginia State Police with whom I had a very cordial and professional working relationship. Sa-lute!
