I agree the game was fun to watch and it is unlikely a bowl

game will come close to touching it. Although if the bowl game involved 2 rivals, then it might be on par with the original game. I went to the San Fran Bowl and had a great time there. I don't have a problem with a football game being played in a baseball diamond or even both teams sharing the same sideline (another weird sight to see).

As far as the buzz generated from the game, I do think the Illini-NW Game would have received some buzz if the game had been played at Soldier Field. Maybe not the same amount as the buzz generated from being able to use only 1 FG post in the game, but then again it seemed like most of the buzz generated was more the mocking kind because of the "strange rules" used during the game. I don't think any school would consider that good publicity.

Honestly, playing a bowl game at Wrigley Field is about as good idea of playing a bowl game on the flight deck of a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. Heck the flight deck might even make more sense since I think the entire football field can fit on the flight deck with both teams sharing the sideline closes to the tower.
